I recently finished my first short film, it took a year to complete a 5 minute film. The whole process was awkward and challenging. I learnt a lot and I feel it is something to be documented and shared - the arduous, bizarre and interesting things you learn.

I wanted a place to share and build a community around filmmaking. DU is a collaborative online space to explore, share and discuss content. An article each week to learn and develop my work as a filmmaker, with interviews with my peers who are doing fabulous work as well.

The blog is about uncovering the skills, knowledge and processes that are needed to direct Film and Television. It is a space to collate all the information one learns as they build on their filmmaking. A cross between film theory and the practical aspects of producing a film.
